What snack would you eat right now?

    By Tracy Schruder

The kind of snack that I would eat right now is a couple of pieces of avocado toast. Not only does this snack tase good, it’s also packed with fibre and flavourful nutrients. It gives me the right kind of energy to optimize my brain function and physical activity.

Here are some of the benefits that I receive by choosing this as a meal or a snack; it contains healthy fats, avocados are packed with monounsaturated fats that support heart health and keep you full and they are rich in fibre.

Avocados and ancient grains toast is like putting together a fibre party – It supports my digestion and regulates my energy. This snack boosts my nutrient Intake and is also a great source of vitamins C, E, K, and B6, plus potassium.

It’s a quick and versatile food source and I sometimes top it off with eggs, tomatoes, or spices, depending on how hungry I am or how much physical effort I have to put into my day ahead. This snack satisfies my hunger and it also staves off any cravings that come about during my morning. With eating this combination of healthy fats, fibre and complex carbs, I’m kept fuelled up and motivated enough to complete my morning tasks.

I’m into eating natural, alive food – avocados fits into that vibe perfectly.

  • My Divine Calling

    What is your mission?

    By Tracy Schruder

I’m on a mission, but what’s the mission, really? It’s a question that echoes in my mind.

If there’s a great commander handing out missions, why isn’t it more clear to us?

We’re busy completing small tasks, following our conscience and creativity, but my curiosity asks, is there a higher calling?

For me, the answer came unexpectedly. I stumbled upon Reiki in my 40s, while educating myself on meditation and Chakras. It sparked an awakening inside of me and I’ve been diving deeper ever since . Becoming a Reiki teacher/practitioner wasn’t on my compass, but it feels like my true north.

If I had to define my mission, it’s this: spreading Love, Wellbeing, and Peace. Sharing Reiki with others, helping them heal and grow, feels entirely natural. It’s my divine calling, my path of light and love.

I’m on a mission of compassionate healing, and I’m embracing it with all of my heart.

It’s never been about grand gestures; it’s about the ripple effect of kindness, one person at a time. If you’re looking for your mission, maybe it’s hidden in what makes you feel most alive because I’ve never been so alive.

I guess I can determine that for me my mission is one filled with love. Joyfully enduring my mission has made my life’s journey more fulfilling.

  • Embracing the Eternal Now And Recycling The Soul

What are your thoughts on the concept of living a very long life?

    By Tracy Schruder

My thoughts on living a long life are mixed . Part of me wants to live for thousands of years, or even eternity, but with a twist – I’d love to be in my 20-year-old body with my 54-year-old brain .

For me, it’s about savoring each moment, slowing down the hands on the clock of time, and getting my soul’s worth out of this one life. By choosing to enjoy the present, life feels longer to me and more fulfilling .

As I see it, we’re all eternal souls, and our time here is just a chapter. I believe in reincarnation – the body may pass, but the soul lives on.

We’re living extraordinarily long lives, really; we just can’t remember the previous ones.

It’s my belief that we are all sparks of divine energy, and this energetic vibration can not be destroyed – only transformed.

We’re awakening to a new Earth, remembering who we are and our place in the grand scheme. For me, it’s about dying to yesterday and embracing each new day.

The length of this life journey isn’t what’s important; it’s whether we lived it well and added something special to the world as a result of us living that matters to me.

  • A Fresh Perspective: Evolving My Artistic Path

    What could you do differently?

    By Tracy Schruder

Well, this prompt has had me scratching my head for a few hours now. I keep staring and deleting, thinking I’ve got it all figured out, and then… I don’t . On one hand, I’m convinced I’m doing everything right, and life works well as is – move on, right? Yet, on the other hand, I could do almost anything differently, but it’s the choice that’s got me hanging .

Out of doing almost anything differently, what would I choose? I went for a 3-mile run, revisited my list of life skills and relationships, and realized there’s always room for growth. But what could I do differently that would bring more benefits to my life?

For me, it’s my artwork . I’ve been finishing at least two pieces weekly, and sales are slow. I’ve sold through word of mouth, social media, art shows, and one gallery exhibit, but it’s time to shake things up.

I’m all fired up to focus on getting my art out there and selling some of it! I’m taking on landscape commissions and planning to showcase my work differently. Instead of just sharing the art itself, I’ll be sharing photos of my pieces framed in comfortable environments – think living rooms, bedrooms, and offices – to help clients see how it might look in their space.

There’s an app for that, but I prefer setting it up in my own home to create an authentic feel. My house is already like a mini art gallery, so why not use it as a showcase?

It’s time to get my art out there and see it bring joy to others. I’m excited to see where this new path takes me .

If you had a freeway billboard, what would it say?

    By Tracy Schruder

If I had a freeway billboard it would direct people to my Reiki business.

  • Present Moment Harmony

Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

    By Tracy Schruder

The only time I spend thinking about the past or the future is when I’m using it for practical purposes.

I reflect on the past when upgrading my skills or reviewing a course completion – it helps me grow.

I think of the future when booking appointments or following up with clients about their progress – it keeps me organized and supportive.

Otherwise, I’m not dwelling on the past or future. I’m simply here, watching, enjoying, and taking inspired action as my day unfolds .

I have no idea what yesterday held or what tomorrow will bring, but I know for certain that right now, everything is in perfect harmony .

  • Self Awareness

What is the greatest gift someone could give you?

    By Tracy Schruder

The greatest gift someone could give me is their own self-awareness. As a Meditation Coach and Reiki Teacher/Practitioner, there’s nothing more rewarding than witnessing friends and clients awaken to their true potential.

With self-awareness comes self-control, confidence, and the realization that they’re responsible for their own health and wellbeing.

They understand they deserve abundance, happiness, and peace. They recognize they’re a spark of the creative source, and presence permeates their existence.

In 10 years of practice, I’ve received this gift from about 8 individuals (not including myself – I received it earlier in life).

It’s a reminder that true growth happens when we choose awareness. And that’s the greatest gift of all – the gift of awakening, for both the giver and the witness .

  • Playtime is My Time

Do you play in your daily life? What says “playtime” to you?

    By Tracy Schruder

Do I play? Yes, I most definitely do. What says playtime to me is my kitty with his toy.

A group of people and a deck of cards.

A stack of board games and energetic opponents.

Outdoor games inside and outside the pool. Warm days or cold one’s there is always playing to do.

Creative play is where I excel – paint smocks and canvas are ready to go. Surrounded by nature, there’s always supplies for crafts; playing with my imagination is what I do best.

I imagine great stories, some fiction, some fact, and I have fun writing them out with integrity and tact.

  • Growing Beyond Others

    What are your biggest challenges?

    By Tracy Schruder

My biggest challenge is trying to communicate with other people who have never put in the effort to grow and mature themselves. Because I’ve put forth so much effort into my own growth and understanding, I expect nothing less from people my own age or older.

This is a great challenge for me, so, being me, I go deeper.

I realized that most of my growth and maturity came from my suffering. It was born out of pain, loss, and the joy of overcoming and awakening. I did the work.

I took a full and honest account of those things that were my responsibility, that I needed to face and be accountable for. Not everyone does that. Nor does everyone go through loss or something challenging enough to bring them into accountability and awareness.

Before I could deem myself healed, I had to face this challenge head-on. Through the hot tears and emotional confusion, I had a breakthrough. I know how to navigate this challenge in the present; it’s part of my journey. That being true, and also that I know that I will face this challenge time and again as life moves forward, I felt the frustration and confusion to the fullest extent of its toxicity. I allowed it to be as it is, and I remained present to witness the root of this challenge.

What in me believes that everyone should be more mature than they are? It was a wound, an old gaping wound that surpassed my conscious healing. It was the wound of rejection. An old, ancient wound that all of us bring into this world with us – it’s the birthing wound – the wound caused by being separated from our mothers. We are pushed out from a warm, safe environment into a cold and unfamiliar world. Before modern birthing practices, we were often slapped on the bottom to expel fluids from our body. What an insult to injury. No wonder we carry a wound of rejection; in some sense, it’s our first experience of being alive.

I don’t believe that people will grow and mature via my expectations, and it will always be a challenge in accepting this mentality. However, now that I know the root cause, I’m certain that I will navigate it with even more maturity and awareness in the future.
