The Writer in Me

  • Embracing the Eternal Now And Recycling The Soul

What are your thoughts on the concept of living a very long life?

    By Tracy Schruder

My thoughts on living a long life are mixed . Part of me wants to live for thousands of years, or even eternity, but with a twist – I’d love to be in my 20-year-old body with my 54-year-old brain .

For me, it’s about savoring each moment, slowing down the hands on the clock of time, and getting my soul’s worth out of this one life. By choosing to enjoy the present, life feels longer to me and more fulfilling .

As I see it, we’re all eternal souls, and our time here is just a chapter. I believe in reincarnation – the body may pass, but the soul lives on.

We’re living extraordinarily long lives, really; we just can’t remember the previous ones.

It’s my belief that we are all sparks of divine energy, and this energetic vibration can not be destroyed – only transformed.

We’re awakening to a new Earth, remembering who we are and our place in the grand scheme. For me, it’s about dying to yesterday and embracing each new day.

The length of this life journey isn’t what’s important; it’s whether we lived it well and added something special to the world as a result of us living that matters to me.

  • Inside the Mind of Our Creator

    By Tracy Schruder

Some fun and intriguing questions, brought to you from the deeply curious mind of Tracy Schruder 🤷‍♀️ …

What if our existence is a thought in the mind of another Being? What if the Firmament is the skull of this creator, and we’re all just a product of their imagination?

It’s a mind-bending idea that sends shivers down my spine.🥶

I find myself wondering: what if living our best, most genuine lives fills our creator with joy?

What if our light shines brighter, we are sending pleasing energy surges to the source directly?

What if this is the key to manifesting our desires and connecting with our vibrations – by shining brightly enough for our creator to notice?

As for me, I’m thrilled to think I’m a spark of light that gets noticed . I choose action, bringing my light into this world, and it delights me to be seen.

I envision dancing on the pineal gland of this higher power, showering in the rain storm of melatonin, being the watching witness to their plans unfolding.

In this vision, Earth is a field within the mind of our creator and we are the spark of intentions – a realm of experience, and growth that’s drench in love and potential.

What do you think? Does this idea resonate with you?

  • A Fresh Perspective: Evolving My Artistic Path

    What could you do differently?

    By Tracy Schruder

Well, this prompt has had me scratching my head for a few hours now. I keep staring and deleting, thinking I’ve got it all figured out, and then… I don’t . On one hand, I’m convinced I’m doing everything right, and life works well as is – move on, right? Yet, on the other hand, I could do almost anything differently, but it’s the choice that’s got me hanging .

Out of doing almost anything differently, what would I choose? I went for a 3-mile run, revisited my list of life skills and relationships, and realized there’s always room for growth. But what could I do differently that would bring more benefits to my life?

For me, it’s my artwork . I’ve been finishing at least two pieces weekly, and sales are slow. I’ve sold through word of mouth, social media, art shows, and one gallery exhibit, but it’s time to shake things up.

I’m all fired up to focus on getting my art out there and selling some of it! I’m taking on landscape commissions and planning to showcase my work differently. Instead of just sharing the art itself, I’ll be sharing photos of my pieces framed in comfortable environments – think living rooms, bedrooms, and offices – to help clients see how it might look in their space.

There’s an app for that, but I prefer setting it up in my own home to create an authentic feel. My house is already like a mini art gallery, so why not use it as a showcase?

It’s time to get my art out there and see it bring joy to others. I’m excited to see where this new path takes me .

    Oil on Canvas

    Arctic Chill

This oil painting Arctic Chill measures 0.8 cm × 45.7 cm × 61 cm.

The scene captures a frosty winter landscape at sunset. Two stark, snow‑kissed bare trees frame the foreground, their silver‑white branches reaching toward a pink‑orange sky that melts into a soft blue horizon. In the middle distance, icy blue Stone Mountain pillars stand against the glowing sky, revealing only the highest point, leading the eye to a partially frozen river that reflects the warm sunset hues. It inspires the viewer contemplate how deep the mountain goes beneath the icy realm. The snow‑covered banks and cool color palette evoke a crisp, serene “arctic chill” atmosphere, inviting asking the viewer to feel the quiet beauty of a winter twilight.

  • Present Moment Harmony

Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

    By Tracy Schruder

The only time I spend thinking about the past or the future is when I’m using it for practical purposes.

I reflect on the past when upgrading my skills or reviewing a course completion – it helps me grow.

I think of the future when booking appointments or following up with clients about their progress – it keeps me organized and supportive.

Otherwise, I’m not dwelling on the past or future. I’m simply here, watching, enjoying, and taking inspired action as my day unfolds .

I have no idea what yesterday held or what tomorrow will bring, but I know for certain that right now, everything is in perfect harmony .

  • Self Awareness

What is the greatest gift someone could give you?

    By Tracy Schruder

The greatest gift someone could give me is their own self-awareness. As a Meditation Coach and Reiki Teacher/Practitioner, there’s nothing more rewarding than witnessing friends and clients awaken to their true potential.

With self-awareness comes self-control, confidence, and the realization that they’re responsible for their own health and wellbeing.

They understand they deserve abundance, happiness, and peace. They recognize they’re a spark of the creative source, and presence permeates their existence.

In 10 years of practice, I’ve received this gift from about 8 individuals (not including myself – I received it earlier in life).

It’s a reminder that true growth happens when we choose awareness. And that’s the greatest gift of all – the gift of awakening, for both the giver and the witness .
