  • Opulences Of The Heart

    By Tracy Schruder

    Overflow joy, peace, and love.
Excitement and passion fit in like a glove.
Beneficial choices driven by butterfly winds,
Toothy big smiles blooming from within.
    Golden walls encase the chamber,
Embers burning up passions a delicate metaphor

Whispers of intuition guide my way,
Mornings dawn, and I’m here to stay.
Embracing each moment with open arms,
Life’s simple pleasures, a gentle calm.
Heartbeats syncing with the universe’s song,
In this flow, I am where I belong.

In the depths of soul, a treasure’s found,
A reservoir of love, forever profound.
Shining bright, a beacon in the night,
    Illuminating paths, a guiding light.
    May my heart’s opulence overflow,
Nourishing all, as love’s wildflowers grow.

  • Grounded

    By Tracy Schruder

I walk through morning dew-soaked grass,

My feet sensing the whole planet’s mass.

A fluttering relief encompasses my toes,

Spreading through my feet, as the earth below knows.

Wet and cool to the touch, I feel no damp or chill,

Every step a delight, my senses stand still.

I become present with the breath’s gentle flow,

Energy coursing up my legs, through muscles aglow.

    My skin, a magnificent sensation,

Ever-present, a coating I wear with each creation.

Filled with nerve and sensory stimulation’s might,

Antennas engaged, I feel every single spark’s light.

In this moment, I’m one with the earth’s delight,

Grounded, connected, and shining with inner light.

  • Toxic Dance

    By Tracy Schruder

Never let them see behind your mask,

They don’t know your intentions, and they don’t know your past.

    Never crumble when they cry,

If they ask for truth, tell them lies.

Don’t share their bed, and they won’t get in your head,

Keep them at the ready, because you bring wars that are steady.

Never wipe their tears, never comfort their fears,

Leave them laying broken on the floor.

Convince them they are broken, so they won’t walk out the door,

Keep them in chains of doubt, and never let them soar.

This dance of power, a toxic game,

Where hearts are bruised, and love’s to blame.

(This poem explores the dynamics of a toxic relationship, highlighting the manipulation and control that can be present. The title “Toxic Dance” captures the idea of a twisted and damaging interaction between two individuals.)

  • Play in the Sunshine

    By Tracy Schruder

In heaven’s fields of gold, I see you playing ,

    Dancing by the morning light,

Ushering a brand new day in.

Your smile shines so bright, your laughter echoes with glee,

It’s your radiant soul, so wild and carefree.

I miss you here, dear Mom, with every passing day,

But I know you’re in a place, where you can love and play.

You’ve been given a job in heaven, that’s a most sacred and joyful role,

Teaching departed souls to play in the sunshine in its warm, golden glow.

I see you now, twirling with delight , the smile on your face ensures me that everything will be alright ,

Two-stepping with the others in sun-kissed fields of light.

With every step and every twirl, you quiet their fears,

Letting go of worries and wiping away all their lonely tears , no one is left behind, you seize each heavenly day.

Although we are apart, I feel your presence near,

Like gentle ray of sunshine in my heart, a soothing calm, drenched in peaceful cheer.

I know that day is coming soon, when I’ll join you in the sunshine and dance a jig or two.

We’ll dance, and laugh, together, me and you,

We will watch and wait, for our love ones too.

When they arrive we will take them to the sun,

We’ll dance in the sunshine it’ll be so much fun.

Until that day, dear Mom, know you’re always in my heart,

A shining star that guides me, a love that never departs.

I’ll hold on to memories of our sunny days on earth,

And look forward to the time when we’ll play in the sunshine, and give our spirits their worth.
